The specifications are similar to that of Moto G but they removed some of them just to reduce the cost and make it available to more people. Moto E is priced at ₹6,999 in India. It runs on the latest Android version 4.4 (Kitkat) and is equipped with 1 GB RAM with 1.2 GHz Dual Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 A7 processor. It also has an Adreno 302 400 MHz single core graphics card that ensures efficient gaming.
It comes with a 4.3 inch display with a qHD (960x540 pixel) resolution and a pixel density of 256 ppi which ensures the visuals are sharp and crisp with a crystal clear display. The display is protected by scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and a splash guard to ensure resistance from water. The anti smudge coating is a perfect finish for everyday use.
Equipped with a built-in 1980 mAh Li-ion battery, it provides decent usage time. The dual sim feature doesn't let you compromise with your mobile network needs and a 5 MP camera with a touch-anywhere-to-capture functionality sounds cool.
Motorola has changed its mind this time by providing with an expandable memory slot unlike it's predecessors. Moto E comes with a 4 GB internal storage and up to 32 GB expandable memory.
Moto E has Wifi connectivity, 3G supported and comes with Bluetooth 4.0 and with sensors like Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor and Ambient Light Sensor.
Pros:
1) Expandable memory
2) Scratch Resistant Gorilla Glass and water resistant coating
3) Long lasting battery comapred to other phones in its range
4) 1 GB Ram
Cons:
1) No Front Cam
2) No Flash
3) 4 GB internal memory (We cannot install apps in expandable memory stick. So we only have 4 GB for apps. We can do that by playing with root though. But a normal end user cannot do that without support)
4) Bugs in Kitkat (Many users faced problems with the 4.4 OS. Not sure whether we'll see same issues in Moto E or not. I personally prefer 4.3 Jelly Bean)
So basically, it's just
Moto G - Front Cam - Flash - Quad Core processor + Dual core processor + Expandable Memory
Moto E is a good phone in its price range irrespective of the cons. My personal advice is to go for it. It's awesome at 7k!
